UPEI must win its game against St. FX to stay in the series

The UPEI women’s hockey team must win Tuesday night’s semi-final matchup at home against St. Francis Xavier to keep their AUS playoff hopes alive. The Panthers dropped game one in Antigonish over the weekend and now need two back-to-back wins to advance to the next round.

“The team is looking forward to hosting St. FX tomorrow night,” said coach Bruce Donaldson. “Game one showed us the importance of playing a full 60 minutes. St. FX has won 13 in a row, so clearly they are playing some great hockey. We need to stick to our assignments and play the Panther way for a full game.”

The game starts at 7 pm on Tuesday in MacLauchlan Arena. PEI minor hockey players will be admitted free if they’re wearing their team jersey. Parents can get in for $5 if they present the Panther App at the ticket table. Download it today at the App Store or on Google Play.
