| Background: | These annual scholarships are established at the University of Prince Edward Island by Bill Andrew and hiswife, Denise. Bill Andrew received his Diploma in Engineering from UPEI in 1973 and became Chancellor of the University ofPrince Edward Island in 2004. Bill Andrew is currently President of Penn West Petroleum Ltd. and is active in various community andphilanthropic endeavours. He is a founding member of the Friends of UPEI group in Calgary, has a farm on PEI,and is active in PEI and national harness racing circles. |
