| Description: | Awarded to a graduating student in the BEd program who, in the opinion of the Faculty, demonstrates a high degree of competence and ability in preparing and presenting learning materials to students in a classroom setting and has graduated from a Prince Edward Island high. |
| Background: | The PEI Retired Teachers' Association (PEIRTA) has been in existence for decades. Its primary objectives are to assist its members in staying abreast of developments in education, in maintaining professional contacts, and meeting with government regarding improved terms for retired teachers. Members of the PEIRTA act as volunteers in their communities, host many activities and provide financial support to future teachers through scholarships and awards. |
