Dr. Lacroix has been a full-time faculty member in the Department of Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island since August 1990. He was granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor in July 1995 and became full professor in 2003. His field of specialty is Developmental Plant Morphology and teaches Plant Science related courses. His research highlights relationships between morphologically different structures that share similar developmental pathways. His current research interests include leaf complexity in seed-bearing plants, developmental aspects of floral organ identity, and the biology of the Gulf of St. Lawrence Aster.
