Student Assistant - Faculty of Nursing
$12.25 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)
Fall Semester 2019 and Winter Semester 2020
The Faculty of Nursing is looking to hire a student assistant. This position will require a student who is highly organized, efficient, self-directed, strong communication skills and who can work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represent the Faculty of Nursing as the initial point of personal and telephone contact with the public, faculty, students and staff
- Compose, type, photocopy and collate a wide range of documents and correspondence, compile and organize information
- Provide support and work in collaboration with Dean, Faculty and Administrative Assistants
- Assist with maintaining and updating website
- Support with the coordination of special events, meetings and conferences
- Organize and disseminate mail, monitor office supplies and ordering
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet searching and email
- Work independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
