Sessional Instructor - Department of Political Science - Faculty of Arts (Fall 2018)
The Department of Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor to teach POLS-2820 in Fall 2018. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
POLS-2820 Introduction to International Politics
This course examines the evolution and structure of the contemporary global system and considers the perennial questions of peace and stability in a world of independent polities. It treats the diverse capabilities, roles and relationships of state and non-state actors, and considers major patterns of change in the post-war world. Principal attention is directed to recurring theoretical concerns in the study of international politics. Both lectures and readings make generous use of case studies and contemporary issues.
Lecture: Three hours a week. Restriction: Student must have permission of the instructor
3 hours credit
Qualifications:
Successful applicant will have a minimum of a Ph.D. in Political Science
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
