The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for an 8 month permanent part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in various healthcare settings in the hospital and community, including home care, primary healthcare, community health and ambulatory care across the Province. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval. 

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with College of Registered Nurses of Prince Edward Island (CRNPEI) and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience and expertise in adult and community nursing required. This includes recent experience in the prevention and management of chronic illnesses, community and population health. Expertise in primary care nursing theory and practice, population health and community health is required. Previous experience in clinical supervision of students would be an asset

Term:    Permanent Part-Time 8 Month Position - August 25 to April 25, Annually

Fall:   NURS 4010 – Nursing and Population Health
3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
(22.5 hours per week)

Winter:   NURS 3130 – Developing Partnerships with Clients in the Community
3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday)
(22.5 hours per week)

Start Date:  August 25, 2019
