The Karma Wellness Yoga class is cancelled on Tuesday, April 10.

IT Systems and Services has completed the rollout of a new antivirus and workstation security application, ESET Endpoint Security, which has replaced the previous product, Kaspersky.

If you have a UPEI Windows workstation and still have the old Kaspersky application installed (indicated by a red “K” icon by the clock) you will need to restart your computer to complete the installation process (which runs automatically). Please ensure your computer is connected to the wired UPEI network before restarting your PC.

If you run into any issues with the ESET installation please contact the ITSS Help Desk at helpdesk@upei.ca or 902-566-0465. If you use a UPEI Mac workstation, please submit a request to the ITSS Help Desk requesting to have ESET installed on your Mac.

How do you know if you have ESET installed? You will see a blue & white “e” icon on your system tray (by the clock). If you still have the old Kaspersky antivirus you will see a red “K” icon instead.

It is very important that you update your antivirus and security applications, otherwise your computer will be susceptible to viruses and other security breaches, which can also spread to other computers throughout the university.

Facilities Management will be operating with limited staffing the week of April 16-20, 2018. This reduction in staff is due to training sessions taking place. Please keep these dates in mind when you are submitting work orders for event set-ups/tear downs, deliveries and regular maintenance requests. This will not affect any priority work orders that are submitted during this time.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated as we continue our necessary training.

The Faculty of Science wishes to announce Robyn Connors, masters student, will be defending her thesis entitled "ESTABLISHING THE RELIABILITY OF MEASURES OF CENTRE OF PRESSURE IN POSTURAL SWAY AND GAIT INITIATION IN A COHORT OF UNIVERSITY AGED ACTIVE INDIVIDUALS"

A reminder that final grades for Winter 2018 are submitted with Moodle. If you haven't submitted final grades through Moodle please check out our online resources or join the E-Learning Office for a Final Grade submission workshop.

The committee will introduce themselves and share their vision for the society. This is also an early opportunity to give them your input and ideas before the new semester begins!

All faculty and students are welcome!

This event begins at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, April 10 in the Faculty Lounge of SDU Main Building.

At the Chaplaincy Centre, thoughts are with the students during exam time, their success, and yes, of course, the chili dinner. On April 10 and 11, between 11:30 am – 1:30 pm, a chili lunch is served at the Chaplaincy Centre, free for the students.

About 300 students show up each day with smiles and conversation during this busy week.

Sister Sue would like to extend her gratitude to the staff, faculty, and Student Union that stepped up to help ensure this tradition continues. This year's menu will be healthier, generate less waste, and reflect the international diversity of the campus. In addition to chili, a vegetarian curry will be served!

Staff and Faculty who would like to volunteer for a shift and help facilitate this annual event can sign up here.

Starting Monday, April 9 to 13, Chartwells UPEI will be giving away free used coffee grounds for your gardens, available at Samuel's Cafe and the AVC Cafe. To save on packaging waste, we kindly request you to bring your own reusable container to collect any coffee grounds.
