New Student Orientation (NSO)
What is New Student Orientation at UPEI?
New Student Orientation (NSO) at UPEI is a vibrant tradition encompassing engaging events, workshops, and information sessions designed to welcome new students to campus life before and during their first week of classes. It is an important highlight of the university experience, as many students acknowledge. More than just an event, NSO fosters a sense of community by bringing together faculty, staff, and returning students in a collaborative effort to create a warm and inclusive environment for newcomers. It offers an unparalleled opportunity to connect with fellow students and familiarize oneself with the diverse campus community, making it an essential part of every new student's journey at UPEI.

Meet Your Coordinators
Hello everyone, My name is Obed Oluwakoya and I am going into my fourth year here at UPEI. I also have the privilege of being one of your New Student Orientation Coordinators. I am excited to help plan an amazing lineup of events focused on welcoming and celebrating you, our incoming 2024 students!
I am from Nigeria and lived there for 17 years before coming to Canada for University. I am passionate about my time here at UPEI and I love relaxing with some music and spending meaningful time with my close friends. Feel free to come chat with me if you spot me on campus, I would love to connect with you.
Hi everyone! My name is Diya Bubna, and I’m currently in my third year as a Business major. I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to coordinate the New Student Orientation (NSO) this year. A little about myself—I’m an international student coming from India, and I find joy and excitement in little things, which means I’m beyond excited for all the activities and events we are planning for NSO 2024!
It's the small moments that often bring the biggest joys, and I can’t wait to create memorable experiences with all of you during these events. I’m really looking forward to getting to know each of you as we welcome new faces to our community. See you there :)
